This area was founded in the 10th century as a royal enclosure for the Fatimid caliphs, so it is full of mosques and other Islamic buildings of great historical importance. There you can stroll through the picturesque Khan el Khalili bazaar (don't forget to visit the Café el Fishawi and have a delicious mint tea with an exquisite Falafel), an old trading area from the 14th century where today you can buy all kinds of souvenirs, without forgetting the traditional haggling. Later we return to the hotel. Night in Cairo.
